At D-Lab, Chisomo is conducting a literature review on the latest needs assessment and asset mapping techniques. Additionally, he is providing support to the Lean Research program, helping to set up an online platform and building our community of practice.
Chisomo recently graduated with a Master's Degree in International Economics and Finance from International Business School at Brandeis University. He concentrated on applied economic analysis and he would like to focus his future work on combating global poverty through research and effective economic policies.
Originally from Malawi, Chisomo attended high school at United World College (UWC) in Costa Rica and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Wheaton College MA.
With support from the Davis International Fellowship in 2017, Chisomo volunteered with an organization called Minjeni Women Group in Moshi, Tanzania. This NGO’s vision is to create a well-educated community of women and take appropriate measures to fight poverty.
He is fluent in Spanish and Chichewa and his hobbies include playing and watching soccer, dancing, and hanging out with friends.
