Laura Budzyna is the D-Lab Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager and also manages Innovation Practice. She designs systems to track and evaluate the impact of D-Lab’s academic, research, and innovation practice programs and manages the work of the Innovation Practice team.
For her first three years at D-Lab, she designed and managed the M&E system for the International Development Innovation Network, a program funded by USAID from 2012-2017. She also led the MIT Practical Impact Alliance working group on impact measurement and is the author of “The Metrics Café” framework and toolkit.
She is a regular guest lecturer on impact measurement at MIT D-Lab, Columbia University, and Olin College and has spoken at events led by USAID, Autodesk Foundation, Unreasonable Labs, Mass Challenge, and +Acumen.
She holds an MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University’s School for International and Public Affairs and a BA in International Studies from Middlebury College.
