Affiliated Researcher
Sucheta Baliga is an affiliated researcher at MIT D-Lab, primarily focused on energy solutions in developing economies. As Marketing Manager at Greenway Appliances, India's leading cookstove manufacturer and distributor, she has 6+ years of experience in clean cooking and behavioural change interventions in low-income communities in India. She is the co-founder of JumpToPC, an affordable home-computing solution as a replacement for laptops. JumpToPC is a regular collaborator on D-Lab research and grant applications, and was one of the winners of the MIT SOLVE 2021 Challenge for Digital Inclusion. Sucheta also works with D-Lab Research Scientist and Biomass Fuels and Cookstoves lead Dan Sweeney on a number of D-Lab projects, especially in energy and education.
Sucheta is an Electrical Engineer, with an MBA in Marketing and Communications. She enjoys meeting new people and learning new languages!
