Solarclave

Steam sterilization of medical instruments requires a given temperature and pressure to be held for 20 minutes. A team of MIT students and IIH researchers are developing a solar-powered autoclave (Solarclave) to achieve these standards and provide nurses in rural clinics access to on-site sterilization.
