Ariel became involved with D-Lab in 2007 as a member of the International Development Design Summit (IDDS) organizing team focusing on evaluation and team building, and she assisted in the creation of the International Development Innovation Network (IDIN). Through D-Lab, she has led student trips to India, Rwanda, and Zambia, and is currently Co-Instructor for the interdisciplinary course D-Lab: Earth. She holds a doctorate from Harvard University in Human Development and Psychology and has an interest in the complex ways individuals and organizations can learn (and not learn) from stumbles, failures, and successes. She enjoys thinking of ways to navigate life by bicycle.
