Jennifer Hiser is excited about the opportunity to co-teach D-Lab: Waste this fall and explore both the challenges and opportunities associated with waste management in different contexts. Jennifer holds a degree in Architecture from CalPoly where she explored concepts like regenerative design, piquing her interest in waste prevention in the design and construction of buildings. As a response, Jennifer built several art installations from discarded materials to provoke conversation about the value of what we throw away. Recently, Jennifer received a Master's degree in City Planning from MIT where she conducted research on how Zero Waste cities are measuring their progress to eliminate waste.
