Jessica Huang joined the D-Lab community in 2009, after attending and helping to organize International Development Design Summits. She enjoys sharing D-Lab and IDDS’ creative design process with diverse communities, and has helped Amy launch the D-Lab youth outreach program. Previously, she was a climate fellow at former Vice President Al Gore's Climate Reality Project (then known as the Alliance for Climate Protection). Jessica's undergraduate studies were in environmental engineering and business at the University of California, Berkeley and her Master’s is in Learning, Design and Technology from Stanford University. She is now doing her doctorate in public health at Harvard University, with an intended emphasis on environmental health education in East Africa. While she misses California weather, she is glad to be back co-teaching D-Lab: Education and Learning with former student (and now full-fledged classroom teacher) Lisa Nam!
