Macauley Kenney

Research Fellow, Off-Grid Energy Group


Macauley is a Research Fellow in the D-Lab Off-Grid Energy Group, where she investigates the impact of entrepreneurship resources on improved cookstove businesses in Uganda. Macauley is a recent graduate of the Technology and Policy Master’s Program at MIT, where she focused on modeling the impact of manufacturing growth on urban development in India. She is a co-founder of the Rwandan brokerage Kumwe Logistics, and serves as a board member for the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Macauley has a personal interest in data-driven public service projects, particularly those focused on international development. When not working, Macauley can be found out running by the Charles or trying out local bakeries.
