Melissa came to MIT D-Lab in 2014 and provides administrative and communications support for D-Lab's three pillars - Academics, Research, and Innovation Practice. In her previous life, Melissa taught World History & Geography, Participation in Government, and Economics to high school students in the Albany, NY area. She also has many years of experience in K-12 education advocacy, community outreach, media literacy, and public engagement. Melissa holds an MA in Secondary Education from the University at Albany, and a BA in Government from Western New England University.
