Nicolene Hengen joined MIT D-Lab as its development officer in spring 2018.
During her MIT career, she has worked as a senior manager in the Office of Resource Development, as a lecturer in Sloan’s Healthcare Action Learning Lab, and as a program manager for several initiatives in the School of Engineering.
Prior to MIT, she worked with public health, social service, and educational organizations in the US, western Europe, and East Africa. As a citizen of MIT and the world, Nicolene is delighted to put her skills in fundraising, strategic planning, and management to use in D-Lab.
Nicolene holds an MSPH from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and a bachelor’s degree from Smith College.
