Richard has led the the administrative functions D-Lab since 2014, including financial operations and human resources. He stepped down as of December 31, 2022 and is currently training incoming Administrative Officer Asif Obaidee.
He has nearly three two decades of experience at MIT gained through his work at the Sloan School of Management, the Office of Athletics Advancement, Undergraduate Education and Student Affairs, and Environmental Health and Safety.
Richard has traveled to Central America, spending time at EARTH University in Costa Rica, to Europe, touring farms in France, Scotland, Ireland, and Switzerland, and to the Far East, visiting schools in Japan and Guam.
An avid cyclist with an MBA from Babson College, Richard is a Cambridge native who appreciates the diversity of MIT.
