Mathieu Aguesse

Co-Instructor, Design for Scale

Mathieu Aguesse is an instructor for the MIT D-Lab class Design for Scale. He is an entrepreneur dedicated to innovation and education on impact-driven topics. Mathieu successfully launched the first open innovation class dedicated to solving plastic pollution, a program called Deplastify the Planet. At UC Berkeley, he has also created and taught a program called Equitable Design, which leverages the power of design to solve challenges related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. He has also taught development engineering at the Blum Center for Developing Economies.

Aguesse is also the founder and CEO of Schoolab US, an innovation studio working with major corporations worldwide. He has been developing unique innovation and design frameworks, such as “design fiction,” which he sees as the new essential framework for future leaders.
