Nicolás Maggio, a Building Science Professor at Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM), Argentina, works closely with two MIT D-Lab classes, Introduction to Energy in Global Development and Applications of Energy in Global Development, as a mentor, trip leader, and guest lecturer on building science.
He is the CEO of Weatherizers Without Borders (WWB), a non-profit modelling lower-income housing public policies in Latin America. He has been working on housing, energy and poverty for more than 25 years and has led the implementation of programs in dozens of cities in Latin America.
Nicolás holds a degree in Sociology from Buenos Aires University and was a SPURS Fellow in the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning.
