Global MIT At-Risk Fellow, MIT-Ukraine Program
Oleksandr Hrytsyna is currently a Global MIT At-Risk Fellow in the MIT-Ukraine program and an affiliate at MIT D-Lab.
He holds a PhD in water supply and sewage, along with multiple master's degrees in water supply and disposal, heat and gas supply and ventilation, biotechnology, and law, bringing a rich multidisciplinary perspective to his work.
Dr. Hrytsyna's research emphasizes water management and the treatment of water and wastewater to support sustainable urban environments, particularly exploring the potential of wastewater energy utilization as a pivotal step toward decarbonization. He has contributed to numerous publications, patents, and international conferences, and has coordinated collaborative projects that emphasize environmental education and alternative energy solutions.
