During the 2022 MIT Independent Activities Period (IAP), D-Lab Workshop Manager Jack Whipple offered a Build Your Own Bike class (ECS02) .

Five students, a mix of undergraduates and graduate students, signed up. Each defined their own bike geometry, was provided with a complete set of components needed to make a fully-functional steel single-speed bicycle frame, assembled all parts, and finished with a road-ready bike!
